"Winter"

Grave of William Ackerman Black

Greenmount Cemetery

Baltimore, Maryland

2014

A replica of the statue by Italian sculptor Emile Wolff, "The Winter". It is of a boy wrapped in a wolf skin to keep warm.

Several explanations behind the sculpture exist. The most popular is that it is of the boy from the first of The Twelve Labors of Hercules, but the piece is titled "Winter" so it seems unlikely.
