Centralia, Pennsylvania (aka The Silent Hill Town) is an abandoned burrough once home to more than 1,000 people, but now is a smoldering ghost town. Signs warn visitors to the dangers of death by asphyxiation or being swallowed by the ground. The underground fires have been burning since 1962. The cemeteries now have considerably more residents than the town itself.
