Bellefontaine Cemetery
St. Louis, Missouri
A strange oasis in a poor neighborhood, the 160 year old cemetery is a hidden gem. The 400 acres of Bellefontaine are as well maintained like all of the historical parks in the St. Louis area. Dating back to 1849, it contains a number of of brilliant statuary.
It is my regret that on the day we visited, it was nearly 100 degrees with an outrageous amount of humidity so my camera lens kept fogging up. I did not get to take as many photos as I would have liked.
