Neoclassic and Gothic Mausoleums, as well as a magnificent memorial to the unknown Confederate dead, are the highlights of Oakland Cemetery. Great care has been taken to renovate the cemetery in recent years. The Oakland foundation has done an excellent job of not only saving a historical place, but of making it better than it ever was.
