Cedar Hill Cemetery
Hartford, CT
This 270 acre park-like cemetery is known for it s rare and beautiful trees, many of them flowering. The staff is welcoming to visitors, which is refreshing.
Cedar Hill contains many notable graves including Civil War Officers, financier J.P. Morgan, poet Wallace Stevens, Horace Wells who first used nitrous oxide as an anesthetic and Katherine Hepburn. Sadly, I didn t find Miss Hepburn s grave before we had to leave.
